Ingredients
- 1 liter of full-cream milk
- 200g of sugar
- 10 eggs
- 1 teaspoon of vanilla
- grated lemon peel
- a glass of clear liquor (Brandy, Strega, Sassolino, Sambuca ...)
- 150g of rice
- 1 pinch of salt
Instructions
- Cook the rice in boiling water, drain and place on kitchen towel to dry.
- Warm the milk with the sugar, beat the eggs 3 at a time separately.
- Add a pinch of salt, grated lemon peel (you can use the juice of half lemon instead of peel) and vanilla.
- Add the eggs at the milk and the small glass of liquor and mix.
- Grease a backing try with some butter and put the rice inside.
- Pour the mix carefully in the backing try, using a ladle.
- Put al in the preheat oven at 200 degrees for 1 hour.
- During the cook the surface of the cake have to get a little bit brown, if after the time is too much clear, turn on the grill of you oven for 5 minutes.
